Tshering has extensive experience in energy policy and planning. She is currently leading efforts to formulate Bhutan's national energy policy, overseeing research, drafting, and collaboration with key stakeholders. Prior to this role, she was involved in preparing Bhutan's renewable energy development roadmap, which provides a strategic vision for renewable energy development, particularly hydropower and solar projects, extending up to 2040. Besides, she is also engaged in preparing framework for solicited and unsolicited solar projects, reviewing and preparing checklist for monitoring projects under concession agreements, power system data analysis and publication of power system information reports.
