Asif currently serves as Director (civil) at the Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization (PEDO), under the energy and power department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. His primary area of interest is hydropower construction, and he is a registered engineer with the Pakistan Engineering Council. He has worked as deputy director on the 300 MW Balakot hydropower project in the district. Previously, he served as Assistant Director on the Koto hydropower project in district Dir Lower, which generates 40 MW of electricity. He has held various roles in construction, operations, and planning of hydropower projects His responsibilities include ensuring compliance with technical standards, safety protocols, and environmental guidelines. He also coordinates with multiple stakeholders and manages both project management consultants and contractor teams.
