Sarita is a civil engineer with over 18 years of experience in hydropower project development, contract management, and sustainable infrastructure planning. She currently serves as Senior Manager and Project Coordinator at the 46 MW Upper Balephi Hydropower Project (Golyan Group), overseeing project planning, stakeholder coordination, and environmental compliance. Previously, as Head of Business Integration at Urja Developers Pvt. Ltd., she led investment facilitation and technical coordination for major projects. She worked closely with the IFC on blended finance structuring and ESG integration and coordinated the Mai Beni Hydropower Project’s Gold-level sustainability certification from the International Hydropower Association (IHA). Earlier, Sarita held senior roles at Bhote Koshi Power Company, Sahas Urja Limited, and Sanima Hydro and Engineering, contributing to multiple small and large-scale projects in Nepal and abroad. A licensed engineer, she has participated in international trainings on FIDIC contract management, ESG finance, and tunnel boring technologies. She is a member of the Nepal Engineers’ Association and the Nepal Engineering Council.
