Hira is an electrical engineer with over seven years of experience advancing energy efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainability in Pakistan. Currently serving as assistant manager (program) at PEECA, she leads large-scale clean energy projects funded by the world bank and KFW bank, enabling the deployment of over 40 mw of solar PV systems across Punjab. Her contributions include developing appliance standards, establishing Pakistan's first public-sector ac testing lab, and shaping policies on electric vehicles and energy-efficient buildings. Committed to sustainability and gender inclusion, she has also led outreach programs reaching over 90,000 students and training 2,000+ professionals.
