Surya Shrestha is a highly skilled civil engineer with extensive experience in the hydropower sector and various projects under the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA). Since October 2021, he has been working with upper arun hydro-electric limited (UAHEL), a subsidiary of NEA, where he holds the position of manager (Civil Engineer) and division head of construction supervision and monitoring division. He is actively involved in the ongoing construction of a 21km project access road, including a 2km road tunnel, a 70m steel truss bridge. He has been contributing to several significant hydropower projects, including the nalsyagugad storage hydropower project (410MW), uttarganga storage hydropower project (828MW), andhikhola storage hydropower project (180MW), upper modi hydropower project (40MW) etc.
