Muhammad is a disaster risk reduction and humanitarian response professional with over seven years of experience in project management and donor coordination. Currently serving as Manager (Development Organizations) at the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Pakistan, he focuses on strengthening partnerships between NDMA and development partners to enhance disaster preparedness, response, and resilience building. In his role, Owais coordinates engagement with development partners by maintaining structured databases, drafting and implementing Letters of Understanding (LoUs), and facilitating joint initiatives. He contributes to policy development through concept notes, policy briefs, and project proposals, and organizes seminars, conferences, simulation exercises, and capacity-building workshops in collaboration with stakeholders. His liaison works with development partners, government institutions, and humanitarian actors ensures effective communication and implementation of NDMA's strategic objectives.
