Balendra Chettry began his career with the Kaligandaki-A Hydropower Project (144 MW), laying a strong foundation in the hydropower sector. Over the years, he has contributed to numerous hydropower projects across Nepal, specializing in project feasibility studies, detailed project reporting, mechanical design, and construction supervision. His expertise extends internationally, having served as a technical expert in Afghanistan, where he provided on-the-job training to operational personnel. Balendra is also an entrepreneur and leader in the field. He is the Chairman of Nirvana Tech Pvt. Ltd; a company focused on the design and construction supervision of small hydropower projects in Nepal. More recently, he founded Power Flow Solution, assembling a team of engineers dedicated to the operation and maintenance of existing hydropower plants across the country.
