Professional Bio
Kushal Gurung is a low carbon professional, with more than 15 years of work experience spanning across Asia and Europe. He is the founder of Wind Power Nepal, that works in renewable energy and climate change. He is also a co-founder and director of Gandaki Urja, a company that converts organic waste to produce compressed biogas (CBG) and organic fertilizer. He also started an agri-tech venture- Mutha Argo, to grow pesticide-free vegetables all year around using low-cost greenhouse hydroponics vertical farming technology as a climate resilient agriculture solution. He currently sits on the board of Alternative Energy Promotion Center (AEPC), under the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation. He is also one of the Asia 21 Young Leaders for 2017 by the Asia Society, USA.
