Surendra Prasad Singh Chaudhury has worked as the deputy manager in project development department (PDD), Nepal Electricity Authority for consulting services from January 2011. He had also worked as the contract engineer from July 2008 to December 2010 in Nepal Electricity Authority. Deputed as counterpart staff in the consultant and site engineer at JV of FITCHNER, Stat Kraft Groner and CES Consulting Engineers, Salzgitter GmbH. He worked as a civil engineer from March 1998 to November 2001 in Nepal Electricity Authority. Prior to that, he worked as a civil engineer from January 1996 to March 1998 in a construction company. He is currently working in the capacity of a project manager in Ikhwan Khola hydropower project (40 MW) .
