Dip Barahi joined government services as the highway engineer in the Department of Roads. His first placement was as a highway engineer on the project of pavement strengthening in belbari- charharwa road section of east-west highway. He also had opportunities to contribute to the construction of many national roads and bridges nationwide. In 2017, he got to work as a road safety and traffic unit chief in the Department of Roads. During that period, he got a chance to learn about road safety issues in Nepal and was able to contribute to road safety practices. Presently, he is working as the project director at the Madan Bhandari highway project in Nepal.
