Meher is working in Economic Realtions Division,Ministry of Finance power division as Joint Secretary. She has served Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, Government of Bangladesh for more than four years in various capacity. As an officer of Administrative Cadre of Bangladesh Civil Service, she also served in field administration and worked as Assistant Commissioner and Magistrate in Manikganj. She also worked in the Ministry of Land and Ministry of Public Administration before joining the Power Division. She has completed her graduation in Law (LL.B (Hons)) degree from Dhaka University of Bangladesh and Master of Law in Niigata University of Japan. She also completed the doctorate of Law degree in law and development from Japan.
